I like the wider stripes in front and back. The back stripe length looks perfect. Any thoughts of blacking out the front section like on the LS7 concept?

I like the stripes OK, but not the back panel.

I agree these are not Bumblebee stripes. They are not wide enough from the middle and each needs to be wider itself. Same with the rears.

No. We talked about general size and layout but final layout approval would happen in person once the car was here.

I agree with both things you said. Although I like these better than the factory ones, I think they could be just a little wider. Now they don't look as skinny as the Mustang ones, but they would look better if they were fattened up a little.

Also, for this car the rear panel would look a lot better in gloss black than the satin it is right now.

Its a nice looking car, just a couple rooms for improvment.

Now that's what I'm talking about. The stripes look great and the added value in them being painted on is nice.

I'm not sure about the rear panel. With the stripes being gloss and the lower valence being black and plastic and then the reverse lights it just looks a bit too busy. I think I'd leave the back panel body color or maybe only blackout the area between the taillights.

and that's why this is a custom job... you can get it done to your specifications on your car at your own body shop

Yep. Not Bumblebee. And, IMO, I really don't like the BB stripes any longer. They seem to not "fit the hood" the way they used to. They don't follow any lines of the hood. I think that time has changed that and the majority of folks would probably agree. Sure, they looked great on BB, but now?....IMO, I think that better has come along.

BINGO! You hit the nail on the head.

Remember, this car goes to someone...there is already a buyer. I don't think they are on the site, but this is something which THAT person wanted.

This is not how EVERY car w/ a paint job will come. Some like longer stripes. Some like shorter stripes. And, the choice is always up to the customer....no matter WHO does the stripes. Even if you want wider stripes, it can be done. You saw that Tom said they all didn't think it looked right. Maybe that's just due to the time we've had looking at all the new stripes and getting away from the old.

The one thing we noticed about the wider stripes was that they didn't match up with the hood line where the cowl rolls into the flat section, thats why we narrowed them a little so that the stripe follows that line. I guess a personal preference but I think maybe a little more retro the way we did them in front.

When has GM ever done that?
