Can you describe your purchase and shipping experience? I guess im looking for some convincing?? I dunno...

Nice job on the car!

thanks!
Bought mine sight unseen from a member here, and had it shipped the 1,500 miles, enclosed for about $900.

I was tense as hell, but that just made the feeling all the sweeter when the shipper backed it out of the trailer at my driveway.

The buying sight unseen/not driven is killing me..i guess i dont have the balls. I dunno.

What company did you go with? Reliable Carriers quoted me $1730 and shipping date between 1-4 weeks.

This might be the best handling car I've ever driven.

Puts my last car, BMW 335xi with sport package, to absolute shame and quite a bit better than my car before that (2800 lb car with over 3K into track suspension) and a tiny bit better than my gutted track car 240sx (2400lb) that had 7-8k into the suspension

I think my 335xi was a bit faster in a straight line with only a tune, but LT headers will probably get it up to par.
I raced a tune only 335 turbo amd raped him when CAI only. Turbo cars have that "turbo pull" feeling that seems faster than NA sometimes, but in reality are not. Not saying ita always the case..

Congrats on the new car!!

Congrats on the new car!!
Could be a few things
The year, the older ones with the twin turbos are way faster than the newer single turbo ones

Also, in the past year they figured out how to flash the stock ECU instead of a piggy back and that makes them quite a bit faster too.

Could just be I'm used to the turbo power up top where the ls3 seems to die up top.

Just go on UShip and carriers will bid on your shipment:

https://www.uship.com/

Then you can decide if you want to do it or not.

I bought mine in Iowa and did a one way flight and drove it home to Florida. Had way more fun doing that versus shipping it!

Just shop around. I got lots of bids on Uship that ranged from $800-$1,500 if I remember correctly. I ended up calling a local broker who worked with a transporter in Chicago. I don't know if I just got lucky, or if I was worried for nothing. lol.

Also, check Craigslist. I found a guy will a dually who was a professional hauler and would pick up cars for people on the side or if it was on a route he was already doing. He was going to pick a a 63 Impala for me for $400 when everyone else quoted 1000-1700
