I'd like to KNOW how a tire Mark got up that High on the Car? I mean sure looks like a car tire The car that hit you had to be almost on it's side to leave that kind of damage????

that rocker panel has or has had the the highest psi rating when this car was introduced. 220,000 closest to it was like 180,000

gm pulled out all the stops on this ride!

I think my new racing stripes are from the rubber end caps on her bumper which came flying off (she was driving on old volvo).

Damn David! Sorry to see that man. Glad you're okay though. Any damage to your new rims too?

The rims look fine, but I do see the scuff marks on the tire so there was impact to the tire. Anyone know if that can throw off the symmetry of the wheel or even the rear axle?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. This happened 5 seconds away from my house in perfect sunny conditions. Drive safe everyone.

For good measure here's what the other side looks like

I would start out calmly with the claims adjuster but if you have to go assertive then so be it. Get the tire and wheel replaced (both sides) and a good look at the axle.(If there is a mark then blunt force happened is my opinion) After it is repaired if you have problems or noise they are much more difficult to deal with. If you can get assuranses from the adjuster from possible problems down the road in writing. What ever it takes to make YOU FEEL comfortable. And since it is not your fault you take your car to the shop YOU WANT, not the shop they want you to go to. It is YOUR RIGHT.(At least in Texas it is) I'm not trying to scare you and hope I haven't because there are shops out there that can work miracles.

I'm glad you are OK and with a little persistence you will get your car back just like the day you drove it off the lot. Ask questions and do a lot of research on body shops.

sorry to hear this.....I gotta tell ya......if I still had the STOCK front end.....I would have the body shop reinstall it.....then sell that ride and get a new one and put your ZL1 front on it........seriously.
