Borla S Type or GMPP?

Ok, I am upgrading to a 2013 1SS soon and was not sure which exhaust to go with.

Might you guys, who have experience with either, tell my your ideas.

I will be going with manual and will be putting a CAI in also.

Thanks

Just all depends on what you like....I had a GMPP installed today, not going to be very loud but it does change the exhaust tone quite a bit. S-Type is louder I think. I'll see if I can get a video made later on today.

The GMPP is a small step up in volume compared to the Borla S, but if you plan to add headers and high flow cats (or catless) later, it will keep the exhaust from becoming excessively loud.

If you just want an increase in "sportiness" of your sound and don't plan further mods, go with the Borla S. BTW- Borla also makes a "touring" model that is widely reported to be the GMPP just re-badged, and can be had for several hundred $ less.

GMPP is made by Borla...I think it is the same as the Touring exhaust.

I believe that is correct. The S-Type is a little louder than the GMPP.

OK. The GMPP is made by Borla and is the same as the Touring sound wise. The Borla Type S will be louder. There is a OFF ROAD version of the GMPP and it is about the same as the Type S. The GMPP's do have better looking tips IMO. Hope this helps.
