******** Stealth install...

Hey guys just got the ******** stealth package from them. Package came with a 100A fuse, book for amp says to run an 50A fuse. My father is an electrician, though not an auto electrician, he said that I need to run a 50A because a 100A won't blow when the system needs it to blow.

Anyway, I have the system ready to go into the trunk, but the fuse question has me in, sort of, a waiting pattern.

Is it safe to use the 100A or should I wait and buy a 50A fuse?

Another question, Kit came with 16 gauge speaker wire, should I run a higher gauge, or is 16 gauge good enough? I have it wired with the 16 gauge for now. I read that how long the cable is should decide which gauge to use, I've used a 18" long wire from Sub to box, and 4" long wire from box to amp.

Last question is about the ******** 5th Gen harness, I noticed it has front and rear RCA connections, which ones should I run to amp?

Yes it is safe. Most amp have fuse on them or in them so if there is a problem with the unit or amp they will blow. The fuse is to protect the wire if there was a dead short betwen the batter and the amp this would stop that car from catching fire that way it should be close to the batter no more then 13 inc away.

I just installed the same thing this weekend. I used the rear channel rca inputs. I also disconnected the front center speaker. It sounds pretty amazing to me.

You can use front or rear rcas. It all depends if it is the stock amp and if you have moved the fader any. If you've replaced the amp altogether, then you should set the fader on zero and then it wouldn't matter.

If still using the stock amp, I typically use the front set because I fade my music to the front slightly. What happens is the rears get weaker and the fronts get stronger. So if your sub is attached to the rear set, the input signal will be reduced. I like my input signal attached where the signal will be the strongest. Vise versa if you fade to the rear, but not sure who does that anymore.

So I just installed, having some problems. I swear it's sending all sound to the sub. Did I plug the wrong harness in? The beeping, saying door is open, is even going to the sub. And when it turns off, there is a pop.

I have it going through front RCAs, but even if I fade it the music doesn't sound any better.

Sounds like the settings are wrong. You need to set the low pass on the jbl amp around 80Hz or so. That will filter out the highs going to the sub. You can also elect not to use the remote on since the jbl has a sensing remote and that should eliminate any noise at shut-down.

Yeah, I had crossover way too much. Sorry, I haven't ever really dabbled with real amps before now. I installed factory sub in my 2010 Camaro. Got it in, sounds good. Thank you. Awesome product!

Finished product! Sounds good now. I only have crossover at like 45-50Hz. I have very little gain, and bass at probably 8/12
