I think the Firesky resort in Scottsdale is a nice place to stay for a day or two to celebrate a special occasion. It is smaller (only two stories) but it is quite luxurious and the pool area and grounds within the courtyard are beautiful. It is close to great shopping, restaurants and some nightlife. It has a good view of Camelback mountain. I worked in Scottsdale for about a year and the Firesky was a great place to spend a long weekend with my wife when she would fly down versus me flying home. 80's in late February in Arizona is much better than 20's in Missouri. The Phoenician is also very nice, about twice the price of the Firesky (which isn't real cheap either). Both are close to each other. The Phoenician is at the base of Camelback mountain and has a couple great golf courses right on their property. Here is a couple pics of the Firesky pool area. If you can afford it these two properties would be a great place to stay for Camaro5fest. Or before or after the fest. About 30 to 40 minutes from Firebird Raceway complex.
