2010 Camaro any comparison to 2002 Z06?
friend/neighbor bought new ss black ,black wheels, grey stripes, groundeffects, etc.I have not seen it in person yet has to be awesome looking. I have always been a camaro guy I have owned 6 diffrent ones.Everything from a 69ss to 98ss. I love the new camaro, however since the camaro died in 02 I bought an 2002 zo6. It is a far superior car than any of my previous camaros.Having said that I have not driven a 2010 camaro is there any comparison, I don't want to take a step back with my next purchase. That is alot for my 1st post so thanks in advance for your reply. this is a very good site with alot of great camaro people

Check out this review by the best GM testers out there http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...ure/index.html I can't wait for them to get their hands on a 2010 Camaro, maybe these guys will be the first to get one into the 12"s?? Respect the Z06 (any year). |

You're comparing a Corvette to a Camaro. There will be differences. The Corvette, as my roommate put it, is like being strapped to a rocket. It is smaller, more angular, and you'll be lower to the ground. The Corvette will have lots of advantages in weight and handling over the Camaro. The Camaro is more functional with a more attractive interior, although it lacks navigation. From a performance perspective, it has a newer, high-tech engine that potentially could produce a lot of additional power, but the weight slows it down. Really, it's up to preference.

WELCOME!
I am going to echo the OP's statement about these being two different cars in two different classes. The Corvette is always going to be "better", as it should, IMHO. It's always going to have cutting-edge technology as well it should. Corvette is about performance and style. Camaro is about punch you in the gut; throwing you through the window; and kicking your ass and not giving a d@mn. That's just me

I had a 02 Z-06 and sold it a few months back. Now I got the 2010 SS/RS which I love but its not the Z-06. This car is just so damn heavy. I don't have a clue were it comes from as well.

That being said, the C5 Z06 should be noticeably faster than a '10 Camaro. |
