Question Radar Detectors

i know this have been talked about a billion time but what is the best radar detectors I'm sure its all about user preference for price i like the v1 and the radar detectors for lower cost usually quits working after a year any thoughts also been looking at the blend mount for mounting and should i get the hard wire kit from blend mount or v1?

9500ix or the V1.

And as you have asked, you will also get recommendations for another half dozen.
As with anything else, it boils down to what features/options that you want, and then brand preference and cost.

V1 gives you a lot of Raw data- lets you decide what's what
Escorts don't want to bother you so they have automated features that try to cancel out false alerts.

I have a v1 since I'm very situationally aware and can rule out what's a threat within a shirt time given my location, terrain, speed ect. They are very chatty though.

Escorts aren't as quick to alert to anything so they are better if you don't want to have to think... If that makes sense?

For under $200.00 the whistler cr90 is the biggest bang for the buck . Mine has saved my A$$ many times . It my not be the very best ,but it is within 10% at less then 1/2 the price . More money for mods
