2800 Yank stall

We think something is wrong with the converter that's been on the car 3000 miles. Car was acting up but after reinstalled the factory stall the car runs fine.. Going to ship it back to Dave at Yank has anyone else had to ship one back to yank for warrenty work? If so how did it go for you? Did they fix it and return it or did they find something and say it was your fault? Dave seems like a good guy just I got the feeling he had it in his mind that it wasn't he's stall. Maybe it's my tune from the speed shop I'm not sure but sure that I will get the raw end of the deal lol ... So if anyone has been thru this before please chim in and tell me how it went for you!

You have to tune the car or the A6s will go nuts with an aftermarket stall

Yea I had it tuned when I did the whipple, cam, heads, stall, meth kit all at the same time.. Dave at Yank says the stall could have gotten hurt by a bad tune.. But the car drove fine for 3000 miles and maybe 4 passes .. Really just wanted to know if anyone else has sent there stall into yank in the first year.. I'm thinking of buy a Trans from them but really want to see how this plays out first.. I haven't beat on it hard enough for it to break... Sc 2800 (1000 dollar stall)should last longer then a set of rear tires! Lol

What does acting up mean specifically? Transcooler on there?

Comp auto out of spring lake NC.. I do have a Trans cooler and it still would run a little hot from time to time. Some times would be in 6th gear by 35 miles an hour. Really the worst thing was a couple times it run hot it would lock into a gear and wouldnt shift or allow me to manually shift. But both times that happened I was pushing the car hard on the streets but nothing crazy. The trouble really happened all at once with really no warning at all! Now when I put the car into drive it lunges forward till it rpm pick up and drives normal well seems to was I babied to all the way to the shop. When coming to a stop if I didn't put it in N the engine will stall out. Secondly when I did come to a stop and went to drive I had to make sure I had enough room so I didn't hit the car in front of me. My feeling is that the converter was locked up and not bleeding off. It's the same deal in R also. If been doing a lot of reading for the last couple days so if I have to replace the Trans now witch way to go as I really want to do the engine, axles and drive shaft first and with was little track time as I do get a couple summers out of the stock Trans. If I didn't answer your questions please ask because I really like to nail this down and not take the shops opp only. I really feel its a converter problem and I may need to get a better Trans cooler but with the intercooler thats a @&@"' but what do I know. My number is 9106706961 if you like to call or text me but I will keep checking camaro5 again thx guys

My suggestion is you email the tune to someone else and have it looked over.

Ryan (Rhino79) @ GPI would be my suggestion, or if you can't do that, see if Rick Crawford is not far from you. He is very good too.

I have spoken to Rick a couple times and am for sure going to have him put a tune on it for me. And he doesn't live but 10 min from me. He's a super guy who talked to me as if we have known each other for years. Once I figure out what's wrong with it right now that's my next step. I have thought about getting hp tuner my self to log and start learning my self. If I had access to a lift I would do most things my self. Transmissions and gears I'd leave to the pros. I really really hate someone else messing with my car who I don't know and trust. But that's why I became a member here. Also the internet is a powerful thing word spreads if your good or if you suck or rip guys off. I see guys making good power still run stock trans.

Within this tread, could someone explain this to me? What in the tune would have hurt a torque converter? Forced lockup at WOT?
