Question Thoughts on '12 price quote

Hello All, I'm new to the forum and am currently shopping for a Convertible 2SS. I was recently quoted $42,641 for the following:
2012 2SS Convertible
Exterior, Summit White
Interior, Inferno Orange
Orange Strip Package
RS Package
20" Polished Wheels
6-speed manual
Hurst Shifter

The Dealer has already located the car, but will have to get it delivered to their dealership.

With the 2013's coming soon is this a good price deal on the 2012?

Thanks

It's about $400 under invoice. That's a good price but I wonder if Chevy might have cash back offers in the next month or 2.

Waiting seems like a tough call, seeing as I am limiting my option with being so specific with what I want.

Are there other things that I should consider being that the car was entered into dealer inventory back in November?

Here decide for yourself with invoice info:

invoice is a great deal on these right now...I guess the top issue has been fixed...some have a problem with the top up and down hitting on top brace...search...

Prices will most likely rise for the 2013's. Drive a hard bargain on any 2012's you are thinking of buying.

If this is what you want, I would say get it. in the end, you may be able to save yourself another 1 - 2K I would assume....but you won't get what you want.

Man...prices on these keep going up and up!

There's a fine line between waiting on the deals/incentives to get better on "the leftovers" and then not being able to find the exact options you want when "the deals" get better.

The past 2 cars I've bought in the last 7 months the incentives went up a bit after I purchased. No regrets though because I got exactly what I wanted, and didn't want to risk those colors/options to be sold out.

I now have a copy of the invoice.(dealer offered it to me as I was asking for more of a discount) If I read the invoice correctly MSRP is $44,670, invoice is $43,541. The way they have explained it is, that they are starting with the invoice an then giving me back $900 of the hold back bringing the total down to the $42,641. Being that the car is exactly the color & options i want and they don't seem to be willing to deal anymore.
If they are willing to let me walkaway I have to think it's the best they can do?

I think the price increase has already been updated on the GM site as the MSRP base price is different there then what's on my invoice? By about the 1k.

It's a good deal. Are their any features coming on the 2013 that you can't live without?

Buy it, enjoy the car and forget about what you may have or may not have saved. To possibly pass on an option you are set on just isn't worth it. Down the road, you probably won't even remember the difference!
