Yes, please. There is already far too much GT500 prattle in the ZL1 section by Ford interlopers.

Let's keep the GT500 prattle out of the ZL1 section as well.

That's 3 minutes more than I'd thought you'd give it.

If another Camaro gets brought out in 2013, I bet it'll be the 1LE.

Sorry... :( I think there is some merit, but also think and believe CAMARO is either starting a new segment, or establishing permanent major changes in it. Super-high technology at a reasonable price that can be driven every day. That's what CAMARO's always been about, and while I believe we should directly compete with CAMARO's direct competitor, I don't think we should limit our scope of competition either. I don't know if this is the generation to do it. I DO think we should, though (that may sound like a contradiction, but I can't go into detail because I don't have enough time). I think we should have as many options as reasonable (GM has to make money ). We have at least a few years to the end of this model, and I believe most of the parts for Z' are already in the bins, and it's a matter of finding a good combination. From what I understand of the other Z'-car, maybe GM could get a little more aggressive with the chassis (i.e. springs among other things) and tune it more toward the track and less GT-car-like.

All I know is I definately support the idea of at least Z28 returning and would absolutely LOVE to see 1LE return, too; maybe - we could get a 1LE option on a Z28 model

Rad...the endless possibilities and directions one could take this single post of yours (and the few points you raise) has me reaching for the Tylenol...

Let's see what this latest (of endless!) poll presents...and then we can write our individual theses (plural of thesis). After all, it's getting very close to Finals time...for College...and b-ball...and Gen-5...and that Doctorate of ZEEology we all so dearly desire...

If anything it should be a 1LE with an upgrade to a Z28. Think Grand Sport and Z06.

Actually, being so close to St. Patrick's Day, let me call on the patron saint of Irish extreme songstresses, Ms. Sinead O'connor, and see if she'll sing a few bars of her ZL1 Anthem... "Nothing Compares To You"!

Sorry...she was unavailable...she's attending Hairdressing School in Dublin...

I mean seriously guys, this day in age most people don't know what a 1LE is and hardly knew what a ZL1 was as it's predecessor was being marketed. If GM does another package on the current platform it would make the most business sense to call it a Z/28. People all over know what that is and it it marketable. It could have the distinct properties of a 1LE or a Z/28 or a little of both, but makes the most sense to market it and call it a Z/28.

+1. That is what I said in another forum. The automakers will be competitive to win but not competitive to give the stuff away and throw pricing under the bus. I have been to several So Cal Ford dealers and all the high HP stuff is marked at $68-72K bucks! I really couldn't venture a guess on whether a Z28 would be released in 2013. I think there are enough savvy folks out there who would spot a "Mule" Z if it were making the rounds. The COPO Camaro will be one to throw in a collection and/or race the heck out of. ZL1s will either be daily drivers for the relatively rich and who are just waiting for the Gen6 to come out, or they will be garage queens for Dad (or Mom) to take a Sunday putt in. If our fuel prices continue to extend themselves you might as well figure we are going back into the stone age of Pintos and Vegas and the second go around of Muscle Cars is declared DOA by the environmentalists.
