I went with Formula One Pinnacle Series ceramic tint. 35% on doors, 15% on quarter and rear windows. Not quite as dark as I'd like but keeps me legal and still looks good.

One thing to keep in mind is that pictures can be deceiving as to the perceived darkness of tint. Depending on how I have my polarizing filter set on my camera, I can have black windows (last pic) or I can have the windows appear lighter (first pic). You really need to see samples of the actual tint you are going to use on an actual car before committing to getting the install done.

Florida is 28% and I went with 15% on my SS ... With the factory tint, I'm around 8% ... And yes at night I tend to drive with my windows down as much as possible ...

30% side,1/4 and rear. 50% windshield. The 50% on the windshield darkened every thing up a hair and looks great IMOP.

Wow just got back from going down to a tint shop and looked at the 35 percent and its not very dark at all. A few of your pics up with 35 looked alot darker than in person. Uggg hard choice for sure.

Completely personal preference.....

I had the same dilemma, and spent countless days and weeks debating what shade.....

My advice, I would not go any lighter than 20%. I also would not go any darker than 15%.

Mine is 20, it IS illegal in Ohio but I have not ahd a problem. Vision at night can be just a tad difficult, but can compensate and adjust rather easily.

I like my windows at 20%.

Take it for what it's worth....

I have 38% tint plus the 93% factory pre-tint I get a total of 31% tint. Which is technically legal in IL because they have a +/-5% grace written into the law. I wish it was a tad darker, if you're willing to risk it. I'd agree to go with 20% It's not too dark really and it adds privacy. People can still easily see if I am picking my nose with 31% tint.

I had darker tint on my truck, I don't remember what % but I think it was 20 or 25 and it was much more private. I did not have a hard time seeing at night either.

Not a great shot of mine. I have 35% (legal limit in NC), would have liked 20% but didn't want the hassle of a possible violation or removal if caught. It actually appears darker on a darker colored car.

35% on the front sides and banner on the windshield. . . then 30% on the back windows.
