No dealers selling for MSRP in Tennesse!

Hello,

I really want to order a new Camaro. However, I can not find any dealers selling for MSRP in Tennessee!!!

Anyonw from Tennessee know of any dealers selling for MSRP?

Also, I have a relative who worked for GM for like 40 years. Can you "pass on" your employee discount to a family member?

Thanks!

So order it from another Dealer out of state that will. Then you have a good reason for a road trip to break it in. I know there are Dealers that will order for MSRP and even take GMS or Supplier pricing if you can get that.

West Chevrolet is selling for several thousand over MSRP.

I will try the dealer in Chattanooga. That is only 2 hour drive for me!

As for the employee discount it does not apply. I have worked for GM for 25 years and this is the first car that I have not got a discount on. They are not in Tennessee but Lynn Layton Chevy in North Alabama (Decatur) would be glad to help you out at MSRP.

Champion Chevrolet in Johnson City sold to me for MSRP. Not that that helps you, because of where they're at. But hey, they're in TN!

Hey adamvol,

I work in Knoxville and had visited several local dealers before I ordered mine. I'll try to help you out on your problem. Are you familiar with where Parkside Auto Drive is located in Knoxville? Beaty Chevrolet told me at the beginning of May that they would order me a car for MSRP. The salesman, I forget his name, told me that they were doing MSRP even though a lot of dealers are not. They are requiring a $500 deposit, though I think. At that time, they only had about 12 orders, and one of them was already sitting in their showroom (a black 2SS...nice) and I believe they had 3 or 4 more either being built at the time or in transit. You might try there if you don't mind paying the deposit.

I, however, didn't order from them because I had a dealer closer to home that was also honoring MSRP without a deposit. They are located about 20 miles north of Knoxville in a town called Clinton. They're name is Fox Chevrolet. I ordered from them on May 11 and was number 8 in line from what I was told. As of yesterday, according to a different salesman (mine is on vacation this week), they still only had 8 orders. You might try giving them a call. Just go to Chevy's website and search for local dealers to get their phone numbers.

P.S. Don't go to the one in Oak Ridge...they're auctioning theirs off last I heard. Good Luck!!!

At one point I spoke to Fox Chevrolet about ordering a Camaro. I think they were the only one in town that told me if GM offered a supplier discount, they would probably accept it. Out of all the dealers I spoke with he was the most straight forward with me. When my employment situation improves and I'm ready to order, I think that's who I will choose.
He's already fibbing to you gm is offering supplier and employee discounts but its up to each dealer to honor it. Your dealership knows this and unfortunately most are not honoring them

He may have talked to them months ago before anyone knew if GM was going to offer the supplier discount. If that's the case, then that's all the dealer could say at the time.

I'm in West Tennessee, many dealers in Memphis and surrounding areas are selling at MSRP, I ordered my 2SS without any problems, just have to find one with allocations left.

Yeah, West probably thinks they can sell it at any price they want just because they're located on the "World Famous" Airport Motor Mile...pfft, give me a break. The Nissan dealership just down the road from them had the first GT-R in East Tennessee last fall and (at least when I went to look at it) they weren't even charging a markup on IT. I think it goes without saying that the GT-R was and still is a lot more rare than the Camaro.

I called Fox in Clinton and they do Sell at MSRP, however, they do not honor supplier discount. I finally got to sit in one today and loved it.
