Did a little research knowing that there definitely is a Bay Area based Camaro club since my cousin works on several 1st gens and has helped take them to shows for the owners. This is what I found thus far:

The club provides a great place to have fun, get help and information regarding your Camaro and take part in a social gathering or two. If you are looking for a group of people who share your love of cars, in particular the Camaro, this is the place! All generations of Camaro are welcome! We plan monthly events and drives and like to participate in community activities. Membership is only $24.00 per year; and includes your spouse and children under the age of 18, family members are always welcome at club functions. We meet at Sunnyvale Chevrolet 660 W. El Camino Real in Sunnyvale at 6:45pm on the first Friday of each month. Visitors are always welcome, hope to see you there! Parking at the dealership is around back please. |

I'm a part of a great local car club called West Coast GM Performance that meets every first Saturday of the month and it is based in San Jose!
www.wcgmp.com/forum sign up on the message board join the events and say hello to everyone, there is actually a BBQ on the 15th of August and it could be a great opportunity to meet and great with fellow gm fans and 5th gen camaros  I'd love to share my experiece with local folks about our cars which I looove. It's really great for families too.

Yo. I live downtown sf in a high rise with a great 25th floor roof with a view. I'd love to host a party then cruise. BTW.... my ride shows up Wednesday. I can't wait.
