What upgrades are needed?!?!? EXPERT PLEASE

I have a 2010 Camaro SS and recently installed SLP SuperCharger. I would like to know what transmission and driveline upgrades should be made. And approximately what the cost would be. I would rather be a little safe than sorry when hitting the AutoCross track.

I have decent power but not to big of power yet. I hit 500HP/440TQ. Not to bad for only bolt ons.

Really concerned about tranny though so I want to look into that ASAP.

The trans is fine at that level. Just get it tuned by an expert. IE Rhino79 or Matt @ FSP are the two that everyone will recommend.

I'm assuming you have an A6 and if so, that trans, with a good tune will take lots of abuse at least until 600 rwhp if not more. I made 300 passes on the stock trans up until 650 rwhp and then only the clutches started to wear. I would worry about it.

The axles are cheap and easy to swap so that's not a bad idea but then again if you aren'r racing or killing it on the street then don't worry.

Those guys can remote tune you. They are both sponsors on this site.

Yes, your correct I do have an Auto 6. I get on it to play on the street and it jumps quite a bit and worries me that it will break lol, and I run AutoCross but that's not to bad as far as abuse goes. That's more brakes and tires than anything else.

What axles should I go up to?

Ok I just emailed Matt at FSP. I hope he can use diablo because that's the only tuner I have

Matt can tune with whatever software you have I believe. The Driveshaft Shop 1000Hp are the cheapest, wicked strong, and will be all you'll ever need. Get all that stuff from Matt. He'll have the best prices. Pretty much on everything and his service is great as well.

You don't need a stall. The stock one is ok for what you are doing. But if you want to get one look for something in the 2800-3200 rpm range. I think you're fine the way it is now.

As for what it does....If I explained it I'd prob mess it up. I think there are a few good write up's on here. It's really more for getting the car into it's powerband as quick as possible.

If I were you, I'd maybe change the axles and call it a day. If you start running slicks or drag radials, then maybe start to worry about other stuff. You sound like you're using your car like mine, and I've not had any issues so far.

And I agree completely with everything the guy above me said throughout this thread.

Axles are, by far the first thing to do. You're doing AutoX, so tailspin you can use to your advantage. A driveshaft will also help. Right now you have a two-piece shaft, which isn't bad, but the the greatest. An aluminum one-piece is very strong and will help with getting power to the wheels faster. When you start, if ever, decide to do drag passes, that's when you'll need to get more into it. It's a lot and can start adding up very quickly. Mike knows how that is .

Another cheap upgrade for what you're doing is sway bars. Upgrading them will help you with stability and control of the car. As it was said earlier, when you get into more performance adders, and better tires, such as slicks, DR's, and more top end tires, you'll be advised to do more upgrades. Most of us here can guide you in the right direction for whatever you want to do. I dabble in roll racing, and drag. Mike knows a lot about drag....and drag racing

We have a couple of trade in axles that were from 9" upgrades, its about the only thing i would suggest of changing. if you were to get wheel hop on the car it would damage one at that level.

Whether you do a converter or not, I'd think about installing an aftermarket transmission cooler.

If you find someone with HP tuners, I have several SLP Supercharger calibrations in my library, but I don't suggest doing a remote supercharger calibration without a wideband.
