oddly enough, that doesn't change my answer. In fact, it makes it more likely.

Z28 won't be out until late 2011 as the 2012 model... right after the convertible

I've been holding out for the 2011. Not necessarily because of any changes that I want them to make to the current car, but hopefully the stars will align and make our budget look a little better by then. As long as I can still order a black on black 2SS/RS I'll be happy.

July sounds like a nice time to pick up a new car, don't you think?

I couldn't find a definitive answer for this. If I order my 2011 on the first day I can (April 12), when do you think it will roll into my dealership? I've read a million posts, some people get them in 4 weeks, some not for 4-6 months!! I guess my question is, if I order on the first day available, wouldn't my car be built on the first day of production for the 2011's, which is June 7th? Should I still expect to wait 6-8 weeks like they tell you? thanx everyone for your input, much appreciated!

With a vehicle like this yes. I already have sold a 2011 Camaro myself on 2010 pricing, Subject to price increases. The customer doesnt want it until august when his lease comes due on his enclave. Hes left his deposit and all! It all depends on allotment for the dealer you deal with. Well at least thats how it works in Canada! It also depends on how many orders there are GM doesnt know exactly when you ordered until the dealer submits it to GM. Once the dealer does this, GM's system will produce your order number. From the dealership level its impossible to tell when a vehicle will be built until we have a target production week (TPW) and I have seen those move also.

Hopefully this helps

IF your dealer has allocation and it gets pulled for production that week, the absolute earliest you will see it is mid July. However that is only if it gets loaded and shipped before their break the first week of July. If it doesn't get shipped before then, you're looking at start of August at the earliest. If you are ordering from a small dealer, expect it to be pushed back more.

I've read of a few problems / issues that 2010 Camaro owners have been dealing with. I've always heard to stay away from 1st year production vehicles but it seems like this Camaro is a better 1st year package than other first year production vehicles. The GTO for example I heard was very "buggy". Are there any serious quality issues that will be, or need to be addressed for the 2011's?
