Is this a Z28 Disguised as a ZL1

10 Months ago his video appeared. Look at the closeup of the front at 0:31 seconds into the video. I think you will see the Cold Air inlets in the front of the Mohawk covered with tape, but you will also see the HOOD PINS. YEP! They have been testing the Z28 right before our very eyes! Freeze it and enlarge it! Sure the engine bay at the end is all ZL1... but who says its the same engine bay as on the moving car?

The hood pins indicate it is not the ZL1... But anyway, my guess is that when a Z28 shows up, it WILL have these hood pins. Too much coincidence.. Oh and look at the :50 second freeze frame.... IT HAS THE PADDLE SHIFTERS behind the steering wheel. So, they had the automatic known about internally long before they told us! No biggie, just thought I'd show you my detective work..

Good insight bro. If they do make a track pack 1LE...AKA Z-28, therein lies my allegiance.

This pic? That was discussed a lot, the front scoop opening in front of the slotted hood section, hood pins, possible ducts on the rear fenders, etc. Food for thought!

yes this pic is one discussed a lot of recent. the first post has never been scrutinized! What i am saying is that the vid, done to intro ZL1 almost a year ago has the Z28 components. ... implying the design with open front scoop and hood pins has been around since the day zL1 was announced. Threrefore, the Z28 has been testing a long long time already.... and THUS... I perceive it is almost ready for launch! My bet it is to be announced in May for release in 2013. YUP. Probably na 427. Just to stay parallel with zo6 and Zr1.

Betcha $5 bucks on May announce for 2013 launch!! IT'll be a momentus summer! Or just mark my speculation up to local zookeeper talk.

That would be awesome, they can announce it on May 4th and it would be a birthday present to me!! I still think we may see a 5th gen. Z/28, but they need to do it sooner rather than later, time is running out as we see how quickly the Alpha chassis is starting to develop, etc. for the 6th gen.

Wow there is a remendous amount of hype and speculation about this car. Maybe you guys should be satisfied with the ZL1 making it out... the Z28 may never come to pass. And by the way a NA 427 will ever compete with a Z06... much less a ZR1.

Perhaps if you read enough of the threads in the Z/28 section you would realize what his comments were addressing. Staying paralell with the Z06/ZR1 refers to models, i.e. ZR1>Z06>base Vette, Camaro to stay paralell would be ZL1>Z/28>SS. So no, we don't need to be "satisfied" with the ZL1 coming out.

The ZL1 and a Z28 are very different concepts of the Camaro.

Been there done that, back in September. But yes I believe it's not a ZL1. So what else could it be?

The only speculation is not if but when will we have our Z/28.

I say this time next year my VR Z/28 will either be on order or the driver's seat will be warm from my ass sitting on it.

I personally think the ZL1 will be a 1 or 2 year wonder so get it while you can. I don't see the masses spitting out $60,000 plus for a hot rod Camaro.
