True American Muscle cars. This is what they are. Everyone recognizes "tuners" as imports.

Just a quick internet search shows they called themselves tuners back in the sixties and continue to do so. I would hardly call what these shops made and continue to make Rice Here is a list of Corvette tuners: http://www.z06vette.com/links.php?ca...Tuners&catid=5 another Corvette tuner reference: http://www.corvetteforum.com/forumhelp/advertising.php One of the most famous Corvette tuners: http://www.callawaycars.com/ Tom Henry Racing: http://www.tomhenryracing.com/toys/ss_camaro.htm Dick Harrell -- Camaro Tuner: http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...chevy_camaros/

I'm not getting on your case, bro. I understand where you're coming from, but what the shops do is tune. The shops are called are "tuners", because they are tuning vehicles to their specs. That doesn't make the car a tuner. It's still a muscle car. The refrences above called the shops tuners for the excellent work they do in cusomizing a car. The cars were never referred to as tuners in any of the above links. No biggie, and like I said, I'm not getting on your case. It's just that a vast majority of people recognize these cars as Muscle Cars. That's all.

tuner may have been used in the 60's for the muscle cars but in these days tuners are recognized as imports. i would call companies that work on any other kind of cars a modifier not a tuner. just becasue someone may tune a car or reprogram or upgrade in these days doesnt make them a 60's tuner. i would just say customizer or modifier

That would be awesome. Ford has several different models of the mustang. Chevy has the SS and ZL 1. I'm hoping chevy brings the Z-28 back to bridge the gap. Chevy did come back with the copo camaro, but it's a race car not street legal

It's fun to see what they were talking about almost 7 years ago on Camaro5. Moose was spot on with his info.
