is the gm performance zl1 rear different than a factory one?

I remember reading an old post about putting a factory zl1 rear into an ss rear cradle it said they had to modify something. Is the complete zl1 diff kit GM performance sells something different than a factory piece? Reason asking is someone is selling a zl1 diff in classifieds and want to know if it will bolt right up.

Its just if you run the cooler lines the ZL1 frame has the tabs to hold the lines already on it. So if you don't run the lines it doesn't matter and if you do you'll just need to buy some line holders and use metal screw to hold them.
