03/16/13: Q&A and Live Chat Session with Vince at Trifecta Performance

*****UPDATE: This will start at 2PM Eastern time. To join the discussion tomorrow simply go to www.badnewsracing.net and click the top right link labeled "Live Q&A". You do not need to register to watch but will need to register to participate. You will have the option to log in using Facebook, twitter, and chatroll. You will also have the option to simply register as a guest with whichever name you choose*****

Have you wondered why the LLT is so unique with regards to tuning?

Want to know what Torque Management is?

Want to know how the HFV6 DI system works?

In fact, jot down all the questions you've ever had about Camaro tuning! As an ongoing effort to stay in close touch with the community, Bad News Racing is proud to host a series of Q&A and live chat sessions with Vince at Trifecta Performance, and we've picked the Camaro community as the first session of the series!

We'll be soliciting questions over the next week, then we'll pick the most popular questions, formulate answers to them, and present them to you on March 16th during a live chat session! After the Q&A portion of the session, Vince, Jerry, and Steven will moderate a live chat session and discussion with anybody who wants to be part of it!

In order to submit your questions, please reply to this post. We'll accept questions until next weekend (3/10/12). We'll follow up with more details on how to join the live session as we get closer to 3/16. So far we're thinking of starting at 4PM EST. This will all be hosted by Bad News Racing via this chat room- http://store.badnewsracing.net/Live-QA_ep_41.html

This is a great idea. Subscribed.

My question would be;

With the new release of the tune from IPF and the gains they claim, is there anything in the works with an updated tune to either match or be slightly better than their tune?

Very cool idea. My question would be about the timing tables, and specifically how that works or how many there are.

For instance, the Delphi ECM for the 2012 models only seems to contain two or three timing tables, similar to the SS has. But for the LLT engine, we have all thought that it was a "smarter" ECM, and just simply raised timing until knock was detected. Since then I have heard that it in fact, may just have many more timing tables, and in some other cars that use the Bosch ECM (foriegn applications) can have up to 19 tables! So which is the case here?

If in fact it DOES have tables, why do we see fantastic gains for the LFX, but not quite as much for the LLT?

Great idea!

My question is about this false knock issue and why we typically only see it in highly moded vehicles. If I recall correctly we never really saw false knock when people were dynoing their cars that only had basic bolt ons.

I too like this.

If I had to ask anything. It would be sometimes I get cylinder misfires from my GC. And its totally random which somehow turns my GC setting from mild to aggressive without me flashing it

Why would that be?

FANTASTIC............subscribed.

Question, Can we get a tune that woluld be good for 93 octane (everyday use) and another tune for drag racing days. I have access to 110 octane and would love to have a tune that could benifit with this fuel for those race days. Maybe run 3 gallons of 110 and 3 gallons of 93 for a mix of 101.5 octane.

How about this. We risk voiding our warranty with a tune because Chevrolet posits that the tune could cause problems with our car that they should not be responsible to cover under warranty. I understand everything has risks and that many mods carry very low risks in actuality. Soooooooooooo, what if any realistic problems could possibly be caused at least in part by getting a tune. Are there any real risks or have you seen any patterns of problems of concern in tunes done so far.
