AUTO TRANS GUYS HOW ARE YOU LAUNCHING YOUR CARS?

Ok I ordered a ZL1 with an auto trans and it is supposed to be here this week. I have read all of the manual trans post but could not find anyone talking about how to launch auto's.I have done some racing in years past and I just held the brake until I reached an rpm range for that car and just let off the brake and just floored it. Some had a stall converter and some did not. So how are you guys launching the automatic cars?

Doesn't leaving any of the nannies on limit your performance?

I just dont get why guys say "S" for the transmission and not "M". Guess I will have to get over it. Where does the "S" come from?

When you put it in"M" and dont touch the paddle shifters the "S'' comes on on the screen infront of you, it stands for ''Sport mode'' and once you tap the paddle shifters it goes into M which stand for Manual... You never noticed that?

Leave all the nannies on and you wont spin. And youll improve your 60ft and ET or you could put DRs

Incorrect ... You can put the car in "M" and the car will do the shifting for you but once you tap the paddle shifters then you will have to shift manually

Ok this maybe a dumb question and I have read on here numerous times where some say leave the "nannies" on or off. What are "nannies?" Please educate me! Thanks
