This is what my set up looks like, sorry I couldn't get a better picture of the muffler part, I took a quick pic on my way home. And they should just have some pipes that they can weld in. I'll try to get a better picture today. Hopefully this helps!

If u have a quad exhaust with NPP dual mode u might wanna look up Magnaflow Race 19266 it is a straight pipe (aka muffler delete) I have it installed on mine and it fits perfectly and I sooo love the sound it's a true V8 now. I would not recommend on the spot fabrication from your muffler guy as there's a risk of misalignment, I've been there.

How loud is the cold start? My job sometimes requires me to leave at 4:30 am and I'd like to stay on good terms with my neighbors. I'm considering converting to a modified NPP setup or cutouts.

The linked video with the dB meter was helpful but it sounded like a warm start.

I have headers, no cats, cam, added a y junction to add four pipes at rear to quad tips. AFM delet, and if you don't get AFM deleted there is a real good blockage with air flow with AFM valve. I have kept rear butterfly values for mod selection so when I park at home I can put my car in stealth mod before turning off car so I don't drive neighbors totally crazy on start ups.

Tour mod, exhaust is pushed out through my two inner pipes with flowmasters outlaw mufflers. Track/sport mod the exhaust is pushed out through the two outer pipes with straight pipes. Not for everyone, but I like it loud.
