What does 426HP feel like?

I have about 2100 miles now, did the fuse pull, and although the engine feels responsive, what can I expect when I floor it in 1st?, either with traction control on or off. So far, it won't spin the tires.

/agree. 3900lbs with a IRS, heavy 20s, and a mere 430bhp. If you're just rolling on the throttle, I wouldn't expect much or any tire spin while you're still stock. You can, however, pop the clutch and smoke the rear tires off. If you're an A6 a solid 3200+ stall will solve your woes =D

I drove test drove an auto before I ordered and it did not feel fast at all. I have an LS3 seems way faster than I expected. If I floor it, I would definitely spin out. I have about 2000 miles as well.

The first few times you jump on it the speed seems pretty kick azz ... After a while you kinda get use to it and it doesn't seem so fast anymore ...

There's a difference between burning rubber by just punching the gas from an idle, and burning rubber while punching the gas and brakes.

It's hard to explain how this car feels... To me it doesn't really feel that fast. Almost disappointing, it doesnt feel like a 13 second 1/4 mile car.

But lo and behold it will crank out a mid 13 with ease for an average driver. It doesn't feel as fast as I remember my 04 gto being, but I could never get it past a 14.1 (damn altitude)!

I guess I'm just picky in my old age.

I'll be honest, I broke the tires free today on accident. My wife was being funny and said punch it, so at a stop sign with nobody in any direction for miles, I did what she asked and punched it. I shut it down before we got going to fast, but I do know the tires were spinning at take off. This is the fastest car I've ever owned. Anything that will go 0-60 in under 5 seconds is ok in my books.

With 3:45 gearing you need to learn the "sweet spot" and gear choice.. to get a HUGE punch when you need it.It has MORE than enough power.I have been thinking about a set of 3:73 gears to make it more brutal at low rpms..

I think a converter is the best seat of the pants game changer. I want to do a converter but i want to make sure it does'nt ruin the drivability. From what i've heard, it can be tricky getting the o.d. trans to work well with a high stall.

This is my biggest disappointment with Chevy....I just ordered mine and it had no option for gears.
There are multiple gear options for the Mustangs, lets face it in a light to light rip for street supremacy if you can't get a holeshot it's over quick in a very embarrassing way.
Once I get mine delivered(Aug.?) there should be plenty of new 5.0's on the street for me to hide from until I find a shop to put gears in.:(
