Thoughts on changing my exhaust a bit

So, my car has become a bit insane with all the mods. I do love it, but I may be leaning towards taking a small amount of bark out of her. Options that will not sacrifice any power? Its honestly louder than my buddies car which is open headers lol

You could add a pair of high flow cats or a resonator in the x pipe to tone it down if you want to keep your exhaust.

If changing your exhaust is an option, I have a Borla x pipe and Touring axle back I'll be selling in a week or two

I put on resonators right after the X pipe and didn't really do much except get rid of a little bit of rasp. The Borla touring is something that I wanted to do for a while now but I don't think they make it in a 3".

I wish they did, I love the way it sounds. I'm switching to 3" and quad tips, if Borla made one like this I'd buy it in a second.

Yeah I have the complete 3" system from TSP with their mufflers and it's still loud. But what's strange is that it's only loud at idle and when you get on it but at cruising it's not loud at all.

You could try some Borla Touring mufflers. The quieted mine down to a sweet deep rumble.

Good ideas here. I for sure want to stay with 3". I've thought about a resonated X-pipe, but wasnt sure if that would be worth trying

Maybe Corsa can sell you the x pipe from the Sport?

Do you have high flow cats for the headers?

Its a shame because it sounds amazing. Complements everywhere I go. It is insane how loud this thing is, especially when cold

Mine is insanely loud after the cam install and when it's cold as well. But I have no idea why because I actually have big old mufflers. Your tuner can take some of the time it takes to idle down when cold that's what I did. I feel you though.

Adding them will definitely lower the volume and knock some of the "bark" out of it.

The resonated x pipe does quiet a system down alot. I did it with muffler delete and shorty headers. When I went with 391 the pitch was just to high and loud. The resonated x pipe toned it down nicely

I have a full custom 3” with borla XR1 mufflers and it’s quieter than NPP. With the valves closed... I’m actually going to take it off and switch to corsa. Too quiet for my liking.
