imo the cars are too extreme @ that point of tuning they're even and a 100hp difference doesn't mean anything when your pushing 1000hp. Tires, drivers, temp, a miscalculation... are larger contributing factors in the close outcome of each event.
They should have ran each event 5 times and took the best result for each car. Each car can make the rear rubber vanish and what would the point of that be? A stock version for each car with suspension tuning would have beat both blown cars in the twisty track test with more control/less wheel spin. |

I did my own assesment about the show and recieved a warning from the Mods about comments I made about Fastlane. You go thru the online agreement, a lot ppl should be band. When someone, the Mods think they know, they know the truth, they overlook it and blame others for it. I joined this forum back in 2006 and never received a warning until tonite. If you want a copy of what I said about Fastlane PM me. It wasn't bad but the Mods thought it was bad enough for the Mods to send me a nasty gram and erased my review of the comparision. I try provide my feedback but I guess if you are a puppet to magazine reviews, your golden.

I'm glad I didn't watch this... sounds like another case of a non-stock car souped up to beyond the other one and then the "surprise" outcome. I really wish they'd do a REAL EVEN MATCH! Is it so hard to ask?

ya i agree the turbo ran out of breath at the top end. I assumed the boost dropped on high rpm due to the limited flow characteristics of the turbo. Im guessing it was a 72mm compressor. mind giving the specs on the turbine wheel and A/R and trim? seems it had a smaller turbine A/R which would explain the quick jump at the take off, but loose breath on the top end.

fixxxer525 is right, Fastlane's car had junk, flashy chrome wheels, not Forge Alunimium Wheels but used Stock wheels. I guess they though unsprung wheel weight was not a factor. They said they had days to prepare, should've came prepared, not sneeze out excuses. To be embarrased on Speed Channel, Flawless, good job, Fastlane.

Battle of the Supercars. Camaro vs Mustang
Anyone else watching this on Speed channel? Fastlane Camaro Vs Mustang Cobra. So far 0-100-0 test they are at a tie. The Camaro reached 100mph 3 tenths faster and they both shut down in the same distance. Mustang has upgraded brakes, camaro has stock brakes.

LOL its not such a big deal.....Nick from Fastlane is not only in our camaro club, Fastlane is one of our sponsors.....and Nick and their crew built BOTH of the engines in those cars.....so he really already knew the outcome.
