So, I didn't sign up/register but if I can make it down there next Saturday can I 'pay at the door'? What would the cost be ?

Registration is still open, I'd register now if possible. I'll check with SV about "at the gate" entries for you either way though. I have a feeling Sat will be full pretty soon, if it's not now so if you can, it would prob be best to register asap.

Sounds like a fun weekend. I ran with SpeedVentures last weekend at AutoClub Speedway in my ZL1 and it was a blast. Been at Willow Springs a few times too.

From what I gathered scanning the thread it looks like you will all be on the road track Saturday and that Sunday there is a BBQ. Are there any other planned events or meeting places like Saturday night? I don't think the $140 is for both days on the track so I wanrted the be sure what the Camaro meet schedule is.

It looks like Saturday is an open track day for all skills and cars. Someone made mention of Camaro Only sessions. Does anyone know if that is the case and when they will be? I know the white beginners group is a couple sessions of follow the leader and then the 3rd session and beyond you can go solo. But wondering how they will do any Camaro only sessions across all the groups.

I was deciding on whether to come Saturday or Sunday. A buddy of mine will be there in his 09 Shelby KR too.

Any additional info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Racing Saturday, BBQ sunday

Unfortunately the signups were not very strong, so I'm not sure at this point that SV will be able to dedicate any sessions solely to us, but I will have that info for you guys shortly. As far as I know (with the exception of Josh) most of the bunch is running white group, I know I am.

Feel free to grab a room and stay for the BBQ if you like, I expect folding chairs in the parking lot til the wee hours.

There are currently EIGHT spots remaining for white group, and EIGHT remaining for blue group. Unfortunately, our turnout was not strong enough to warrant a dedicated run group.

Thanks Guys

Unfortunately, I ended up signing up for Sunday but I will try to show up on Saturday just after the lunch hour to hang out. I emailed SpeedVentures to see if I could get on the track with my ZL1 for a Saturday afternoon session but they probably won't let me. This will be my first time at Buttonwillow.

Where are most of you staying on Saturday night?

Mike

I hope to see you guys in the pit area Saturday. They said they might let me run a Saturday session for a fee so I might get to run when the number of cars starts to thin out in the afternoon.

If you're new to a road course....... just take it easy until you get comfortable. It gets a bit competitive out there. But it is a real BLAST!

It looks like there are about 10 Camaros signed up for Saturday.

Mike
