My father got his Purple Heart in WWII (shared a fox hole with a German artillery shell). I respected him for a lot of things, but none more than that!

I was in the service (Air Force) for 20 years. I know that when you sign up, you sign a check made payable to the USA for any amount. Some pay with their lives, others with their eyesight, or limbs. Some just with pain and suffering and the time it takes them to recover to keep serving.
