If you ever manage to actually get OUT of the car and back to the board (I know I wouldn't be sitting at a computer with a 2010 Camaro in the driveway [edit: or garage])...Would you mind taking and/or posting a pic of the other side of the key? The angles/lighting/etc look great for actually seeing the details and I'd love to get a look at the button placement, etc. Thanks!

fast or better?

From Websters -

fob

noun
1. a vest pocket to hold a pocket watch
2. an adornment that hangs from a watch chain
3. short chain or ribbon attaching a pocket watch to a man's vest

Which I think we now use with key fob, which became the device separate from the key that had the lock/unlock/trunk etc. buttons, which are now, ta dahhhh incorporated into the key itself.

A key fob is just that. It's the keyless entry remote, panic alarm button, remote start, whatever. It's just called that for some reason.

And I'm glad the Camaro's getting its own key fob...I always found it stupid that my coworker's Buick Lucerne CXL had the same keyfob as my '07 Chevy Malibu LS.

He already said he hasn't seen one. A few other colors, but not CGM.

An actual key??? I was kinda hoping for a pushbutton start myself! Such as the Corvette, and Cadillacs have. I'm kinda bummed...is the ignition at least on the dashboard or on the column?
