Out with the old (RX) in with the new (Elite)
I will say the only thing I didn't like with the RX CC was the way it drains, just a pain in the ass and sloppy IMO.
Anyway just install my Elite CC and I have to say I did not expect what I got, the build quality is top notch. Here are some pics: Last edited by nyrfan; 07-19-2013 at 12:11 PM. |

I've never personally seen or used a Rx can...but I have the Elite installed on my SS. Love the looks of it and draining it is easy.
Craftsmanship is top notch on the Elite. I had an Rx on order and waited for over a month...then cancelled and bought the Elite. Couldn't be happier with it. |

so you replaced a catch can so its easier to drain? good stuff...my tuner really likes elite. i got my rx in less than a week so guess i ordered at right time.
to drain my rx i shove the tube in a beer bottle while i have a cigarette and a few beers...pretty simple for me but i can see having the easy screw off bottem bein appealing

I pretty much did the same thing, had a RX on my 2010 L99 and went with Elite on my 2013 LS3.

The instruction say to torque the mounting bolt to 50ft lbs, is this correct? Seems to be a bit much and want to be sure before I do it. See page 1 and 2: http://eliteengineeringusa.com/templ...percharged.pdf |

I just tightened till it was tight and it has not moved. With my luck using a torque wrench I would snap the bolt.

Very nice! The lines you had attaced to the Rx...did they attach right up to the elite? Or did you have to adjust the length at all?

Yep, used the same lines, just had to cut a slight bit off each line. |

I just installed the Elite over a week ago. I was surprised at the quality. I wish I would have done this when I installed my blower because it has already caught oit in the past week.
