CAMARO Lettering
Quote:
I live in Yuma and want to replace the rear bowtie with the EmblemPro "CAMARO" lettering like you have on yours. Did you do them yourself or did you take them any place specific? If so, hit me up even if it's in Tucson. I can make the 3.5 hr trip. No problem. |

Flynn, I was totally stoked to see a Hwy full of Gen 5's driving down the road. It's been routine for me to see a family of Corvettes making the same trip. Can't wait for the opportunity to meet up with you guys sometime.
pRodigy: Looking into a fellow Firefighter/Paramedic friend that works at an auto repair shop to see what he would charge me to install the exhaust. I've been doing a lot of reading and it looks like one of the biggest challenges is the stock cans that are on there now. I was showing my husband how huge they were and supposedly, how heavy they are. Although none of that should be a problem, we just don't have the best area and tools for the job. We've decided though, that we are gonna start doing our own general maintanance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, lubes, etc. And, I'm leaning toward having the pipes welded on. I can't wait to hear them although, I'm sure they won't sound "as" nice on a V-6 versus a V-8. In some respects, I miss my Hemi Charger "growl." But I get over it with the improved gas mileage and overall appearance of my 'Maro. |

I stopped by Watson today, talked to our old friend Ziv about the little foam bumpers on my sliding roof door for my sunroof, they have riped off for some reason.. I showed him my new shifter, he liked it. He brought up tunes in our conversation, we were talking mods, he said when you tune the engine and tune it back to the original, it changes the serial number of the software, hmm, whatever, but he said they do not just void because of that alone. He told me about a Camaro that over revved his engine when down shifting and missed up a piston and some valves, lol, Dirtdog , and said GM asked them to check the software to see if the rev limiter was adjusted (it was not, Dirtdog is good to go . This is a good example of a dealer with brains . From our talk, if you tune or do something to your car and that tune or something breaks it than you will probably pay for it, duh , we also talked about the guy with the Black Vett that stopped by during the Hurst Shifter install, did you know he traded in a old Vett for that while waiting for his wifes Camaro to have service done on it, and he was a Army Sniper back in the day. Anyways I got a quote on tires just for the hell of it, I was surprised, they price match too!
Pirelli PZero for 20" Camaro SS Watson: Front pair $217.00 Tirerack: Front pair $205.00 Watson: Rear pair $214.00 Tirerack: Rear pair $119.00 They charge $15.00 per tire for install Tirerack.com would charge $67.80 shipping Discount Tire was $1,112.81 Total <---- I just like that, it's funny That's $868.00 Total when they price match Tirerack.com, They are special order also (I know wtf?? ) it will take about a week or so if you buy your tires there to get them. Just a side note. Watson's service rock's , we all know that, but their parts department needs work . The person looking up my tires took over 10 mins to figure out what was on my car (I could have googled it on my iphone quicker) and the merchandise selection is not as nice as O'Reily. If only both dealers could learn from each other, we could have two great dealers. Added note: The iPhone app for On-star is only for 2011 models, the On-star hardware is updated, and it sounds like the 2010 is not easy if at all to upgrade. Welcome new Camaro owners, and new friends.

I was at Watson this past week with my green machine and I can say nothing but GOOD things about their servicme. They did a customer satisfaction thing for me and installed an auxillary gauge cluster and fender flares for nothing! I had them check my tire pressure sensors, seat latches and engine noise. I always get a complimentary detail as well. I may not be the biggest fan of their finance department, but the dealership as a whole is always willing to make me happy. I've bought 3 vehicles there.
