Decision Month

1823 Miles and 3 months into owning my 2SS and I've lost that loving feeling, at this point I probably wouldn't do it again.
Hard to believe that a Cadillac CTS has better feel/grip than my Camaro.
So I can try and see if new tires and maybe a strut tower brace would get rid of the problems (flat spotting, vague roll-in feel, mediocre traction, cold weather traction loss) I think I can get about $650 for the P-zeros on craigs list so I'd only be down about $500 or if the problems run deeper, I can pull the plug, and get a deal on a BMW from my nephew who is a salesman.
If you've tried Goodyear Eagle GT's or the Goodrich G-force I'd love to hear your impressions.

The 1LE package is the only reason I bought mine. The standard SS just felt "blech" in comparison.

Are you talking about a standard CTS or V?

Know anyone with a 1LE that would let you drive it? If not maybe you could test drive one at a dealership if you can find one to get a feeling of the diff. If you like it start adding what the 1LE has.

I've only driven 2 CTS's, an '09 and an '11, both were the v-6 but the handling was crisp and precise. They were both riding on Sport Pilots and I didn't get a chance to see if they suffered the cold weather traction drop off that the P-Zero's do, and that info may not be applicable to the Camaro.
Good suggestion Casper, I was going to go with a strut tower brace and a Hotchkis max brace for the subframe before I started having second thoughts.
Gripes me to have to throw $300 to 400 on new tires but I can see the writing on the wall.

I think you should just trade the car in, it seems that your heart really isn't into the Camaro. In reality chances are no matter what you do to the car, you won't be happy with it.

O.K. Comrando cost me the whole morning looking at Pedders website and giving me hope again that I can get what I want. I don't need to match the CTS ride, but I would love to have MUCH more precise handling. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to drastically firm up the ride, but it doesn't need to be as comfy as the CTS.
Has anyone tried the Pedders rear subframe bushings? Were the results dramatic or less noticeable?

I'll be honest, and I'm really not trying be an ass about this, but you've been second guessing your purchase of the Camaro ever since you bought it. I would say that you either need to trade for a ZL1 or go get you a CTS. You keep coming back to the handling on the CTS. Maybe that or the BMW is your ticket.

You should be happy with what you drive and if it's not the Camaro then it's not the Camaro. Get out before you toss money at it and still not be happy.

That being said, I've got a bunch of Pedders stuff on my car. I love the way it runs and handles. Then again I've never second guessed purchasing my Camaro. The only thing might have ever so slight wished is that I would've waited about 6 months and got a 2011 with HUD.

What kind of BMW can you get thats exciting for the 28k you'll most likely get on your trade? The fun cars begin at the M3 and cost more than a vette.

I second that, you owe to yourself to at least check out the Caddy ATS, it's lighter, quicker and handles just as well as the BMW 3 series.

You shouldn't expect the summer tires to have traction when it's not summer, it's gonna be like that on every car. Before I even had my cam and it was winter if I'd floor it I would literally fishtail till about 80 LOL. Kinda fun but I wasn't expecting it to hook up anyway.
