The Metra Dask Kit (99-3010s for the 10-11 Camaro) cleans up the ugly radio and A/C controls. It also allows the car owner to customize the color of the LCD display and select the trucker lady if desired. The Kenwood radio selected (DNX6980) offers AM/FM Radio, Satellite Radio, Backup Camera, Nav System, CD/DVD Player and Bluetooth. The Kenwood allows customization of the colors as well. I configured the dash kit LCD colors and the radio button colors to match the Camaro’s light blue interior lighting.

how did you get a girl in your A/C screen? Looks BadAss

If you hold down the "snowflake" icon (the AC button) for about 10 seconds, the trucker lady will replace the stick figure guy.

Thanks!

Got my red Sparks SS logo for my Heritage grille today. But....I like the black tail lights so much, I think I'm going to order the Black SS logos instead along with black tail light bezels.

Any thoughts? Would love to hear different opinions...I'm 50/50 on using red or black.

How much did the navigation and rear camera cost? Any website links to where they sell it?

The Kenwood model is #DNX6980 and if you Google it, you'll find lots of people selling it. I paid $999 locally. I could have paid a little less online, but I didn't want any problems with the installer saying there were issues with something he wasn't providing. I went with a Kenwood (CMOS-200) backup camera. That was $200. There was a higher priced Kenwood camera, but the picture seemed washed out.

Yep, the steering wheel controls all still work. The "phone" button on the steering wheel still activates the "Onstar" phone. However, the bluetooth works perfectly with my iPhone.

Heritage Grille

Got my Hertiage grille today. I installed it with the red Sparks SS logo, but I have already ordered the black replacement.

If you are planning on replacing your grille, the following tips are pearls:

#1 - Take the wheels off. This will save you a lot of time and frustration. It was actually an easy project with clear access to all of the bolts and screws.

#2 - Be sure to cover the nose tip well. I had cardboard over the concrete and towels over the cardboard and I still managed to get a small scuff on the nose tip. That really pissed me off since I thought I was careful.

#3 - Check the weather report. Nothing like working the last 15 minutes in a heavy downpour.

#4 - If you want to change the SS emblem or bowtie (or whatever), you will need to take the entire nose off again...so choose wisely.

Hopefully I'll get my Sparks black SS emblems today! I ordered one for the Heritage grille to replace the Sparks red SS emblem and one Sparks black SS emblem to replace the black bowtie on the trunk (removing the small SS emblem on the trunk as well).

Got my Sparks black SS emblem for the rear today. Took just a few minutes to get the bowtie and red SS emblem off the rear with the help of some fishing line. Used an adhesive remover to get the left over glue off. Took about 15 minutes from start to finish.

Can't wait for the front black SS emblem replacement to arrive along with the flat black tail light bezels.
