I tried heat and the glue is still stuck on. I can't afford to go through 6 more cans of adhesive remover. Anyone?

A wax and grease remover might break it down. I have used it with sign vinyl adhesive...

Try a citrus based degreaser. I have used that on some of our trucks and it works well.

You really should have heated the stripes as you took them off. The adhesive would have stayed more on the vinyl and less on the car. You would have had some clean up, but not as bad.

An orbital buffer with the right pad and good auto adhesive remover should do the trick.

If you plan on having a body shop do any work to paint stripes, just leave it, they need to remove the clear anyway, and it will come right off. Or take it to a local detailer and have them do it.

Ok this one is and old trick to remove glue. And believe it or not it works this is not a joke and I was not going to tell you this.

I used this to removed the glue off my 2001 Chevy Impala.

Lighter fluid

Just be very careful and make sure you wash and wax after.

and please do not set this on fire it will burn the paint.
