really suck's that a toyota owner can come in and get a $1000 discount on a new camaro but a loyal gm customer get's SFA!! doesn't seem right.

I don't think that discount can be applied to a Camaro purchase.

new incentives programs will start on feb 2 but I wouldn't hold my breath on any new incentives on the Camaro , i just wish they would at least give the same incentive to loyal GM customers as they are to Toyota customers.

So what exactly is this Toyota bonus? Is it out because of the news?

Two dealers, one primarily a Domestic-brand; one Foreign, in my immediate area will not even take any Toyota trades at present. Toyota's far from being out-of-the-woods as the bad news for them continues to pile up. The issue seems to have widened to include the software and mechanicals controlling the throttle-assembly.

THAT incentive excludes Camaro's and Equinox. $1000.00 Toyota conquest.

Where is that Toyota quality that trumps everything else.

Not to gloat but this is what occurs when idols are exposed as having feet of clay. Toyota strove to come too far, too fast, and in the face of winnowing global competition; i.e.: The looming threat of Chinese exports; have found themselves painted into a corner. I personally think that this is the tip of the 'berg as the recall(s) go concerning Toyota.

Honestly Toyota has had the most recalls/defects in their vehicles than any Japanese/Asian car manufacturer out there I think. Its just they have avoided the public scrutiny because none of their defects have actually killed someone until August. I don't mean that as an excuse for all the other defects, but thats how they have avoided exposure.

I was always suspect of their car qualities, if I had a choice between Honda or Toyota I went with Honda, Toyotas just seemed fishy.

I find it interesting how when NTSB forced them to stop selling the cars, that a solution was magically found day and half later. Up until then they kept saying it wasn't a mechanical issue, had dealers fix the mats using zip ties and sometimes even blaming the driving styles of car owners.
