Calm down now, it's no different than the C7.R.....it's the full blown racing version of the Z/28. That is all.

I don't like it. I don't care if it's new. I don't automatically like things just because they are new. Same goes for old.

But even so, 'z/28' is an iconic designation from the roots of the Camaro's racing lineage. 'C7' is not an iconic designation from the Corvette's beginnings in racing. I see the difference and I don't care if you don't.

I don't like it and I'm not required to. I'd say the same thing if there was a ZL-1.R. I don't like the classic designation getting a zippedy-do-dah "dot something" stuck on the end. Should have called it a z/28 DZ. And yeah, I know the DZ was a 302 but it was also stamped on other z/28 parts.

That's my opinion, like it or not. If you don't like it, maybe you need to 'calm down' a little bit.

Yeah I don't think we're the ones who need to calm down. Nobody's attacked you or anything.

How was what I said out of line? You seemed very upset over the name Z/28.R and all I said was to calm down and explained what the name meant.

So three major items shared vs no items shared is a beautiful thing!

As I read it they note the suspension is different, no surprise there at all, probably all heim joints (spherical ends) and solid bushings which are miserable for street driving.

I believe rules dictate 18" wheels and Continental tires of course. Also they have to run the same Koni(?) shocks, full rollcage, etc. other than that hmmmm.

What's really cool is that Chevy is developing street cars alongside race cars! Both the Z/28 and Z06. FTW!

On a side note; the comments on that webpage are so unbelievably ridiculous and foolish. Are people just sooooo unhappy with life that all they can do is be disrespectful. They find NO joy in something so well done? Supposed car guys hating on cars. It makes you want to hate people. End of rant, sorry.
