I know we got a few gamers here, so this is plesant news for them.
Mark Wahlberg is playing Max Payne in the movie adaptation. I wasnt the biggest Max Payne fan, but I know there were a lot of fans out there so I decided to share.

Plot:Coming together to solve a series of murders in New York City are a DEA agent (Wahlberg) whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy and an assassin (Kunis) out to avenge her sister's death. The duo will be hunted by the police, the mob, and a ruthless corporation.

the normal equation is this

video game + movie = disaster

However, Mark Wahlberg plays a pretty good pis$ed off cop and/or badass (ie the good shepard, four brothers etc) so this one I may go see.

I agree...Thats one thing I can say about Markie Mark, he has not put out a really bad movie...you can usually assume its a good movie if he's the lead.

But as you said video game movies dont have a good track record!

I dunno...I loved Mortal Kombat...
as for this max payne movie...it sounds similar to the bourne movies, so it seems as if they're type casting him...
It'll probably be an alright movie...
but mila kunis?...Lol..
if I were to watch this movie I'd be thinking of Jackie from That 70's Show..miss prissy pants...
hope shes not in it to play a Serious role, shes too goofy.

looks good to me.....

a friend of mine was @ the com-con this week and said that there are alot of good looking movies coming out.

Max Payne was one of the ones he mentioned, he also said that the new Tron looks awesome.

Tron...wow I have not seen that movie in over 15 years...man now I gotta go buy it. I remember liking tron a lot, Im gonna force my wife to watch it with me. lol

This is going to be a great movie, infact, ComiCon (which is going on right now) has stated in their review that it looks like one of the most promising and best "game to film" adaptations ever... Marky isn't a noname like the timothy olyphant guy who made hitman, and he kinda looks like Max too.. I personally can't wait for this piece.. the preview had me stoked..

I've never played the game, but the movie looks interesting. I couldn't get the plot from the trailer though.

Wow, the movie was great, however, a bunch of retard ~15-17 year old's were throwing shit in the back. I wish I would have went with my buddy instead of my aunt that was in town, the little punks should know better to throw candy in a violence inspiring movie =P.
