My Camaro had a bad weekend
Saturday afternoon I was sitting in a left turn lane when a 68 yr old lady in the straight lane next to me decided she wanted to turn left too. Somehow didn't see the bright red Camaro right next to her.
Front passenger rim, passenger fender, passenger door, and passenger quarter panel all got it. You can't really tell in the pictures but the bottom of the quarter panel is pushed in a good 2-3 inches from the door. And I believe the post where the door hinges are may have been pushed in a bit. Luckily she admitted fault to the officer that responded and her insurance accepted responsibility. I still expect the entire process to be a PITA. Here is her car (it wasn't raining during the accident, started right after) And finally, PRE-wreck |

Ive been hit twice by idiots not paying attention while I was sitting still. look at the Brightside that she admitted fault. yes, its a PITA but way easier than fighting over fault. Best of luck with the repairs

Get yourself a Dashcam. It's fairly cheap insurance when it comes to fighting about who's fault a fender bender is. JMO
Sorry about your car. |

Appreciate the responses. She goes to the dealer tomorrow for the estimate and inspection. I'm new to this area so had to go off online reviews. I hope being a dealer they're more likely to use OE parts rather than knock-off's.

That Sucks! It's amazing all the inattentive drivers out there! No wonder we need computers driving cars!

I'm always amazed at the Camaro letters on the front fender. Damn good adhesive on those things.
Friend of mine crammed a ZL1 sideways into a concrete K rail end smack dab center punching the CAMARO letters. Destroyed the car, letters didn't budge. |

I hope there are better body shops in the area other than the dealership! In my dealings, the dealership body shops are Union guys who don't give a shit. You can specify OE parts for the repair. Try and find a quality shop.
