Nice work Bud! Even though I know the motor suppose to come out from the bottom, it look's pretty easy from the top too.

The motor is not coming out the bottom unless the entire cradle comes with it.

No doubt. Nothing a few good laps around the high school parking lot won't take care of.

Yes. It pissed me off. I could have set the engine and it would have been tight but then I would not have been able to get it out.

I did not have any help with the other thing. lol

Will still do it though. lol

That's what I was wondering, I know it went into the car from the bottom. My experience with with rear craddle mod's I would drop the whole cradle if I were doing it all again.

Yup, went in nicely but I had to take the motor mounts off to get the flywheel to clear the bellhousing because it would not let the motor get back far enough to set onto the studs. Kinds sucked but went in just fine.

BTW, it's good to know the motor mount torque spec's as BMR motor and rear tranny mounts are on the list for Pumpkin. They will come in handy down the road.

Engine Mount to Mount Bracket Nut - 74 lb ft

Motor Mount Bracket Bolts - 37 lb ft

WTF......... lol

Ass holes.

Nevermind the 'Nut' and 'Bolt' terms that should have been a giveaway but damn pick one, Motor or Engine.

Here is the pdf. Excellent reference info.

Damn... that's why I usually ignore "torque specs" and tighten things down to "not-going-to-fall-off lb. ft." buuuuuuuut I guess that is ill advised when building an engine...

Car has been sitting for over a year. Since last June.

I'll get back to work on it Saturday after work. Gotta do an intake manifold for a clients 1996 Town Car.

Fords really are pieces of shit.
