Set your jackstands at about 24". It helps the rear valance flex a bit without breaking if you unbolt the little corner bolts that connect the valance to the bottom of the quarters.

Then, if your doing it yourself, it helps to have two floor jacks on hand. One under each muffler. They are heavy, and lowering them each with a floor jack while shoving them forward makes it easier. A common mistake is to pop off the rubber hangers and the weight of the mufflers falls on the valance opening and tears the valance.

Also if doing the manifolds/cats yourself when the car is up that high. I put a big box under mine. Left the manifolds bolted to the cats, unbolted the manifolds from the heads and tied a rope to it and lowered it down to the box. Rope and boxes also helped me hold up the headers while getting the first bolts started.

Before putting the right side header on, make a mental note of exactly where the dipstick goes in. get a good line of sight using a flashlight. Then when the header is on, find that same line of sight to refind the dipstick hole. If you don't pay attention to where it is with the header off, it can be a bear to find.

Makes since , after looking more at the car, the rear valance trick is a good one. Thanks for the great advice!
