I absolutely love my T-Tops when they are off. I don't like them when they are on. I wouldn't be sad to never see them come back haha

I am 100% For T tops. Make it an option. If it was I would trade in my Camaro today for one with T tops.

Don't see them ever coming from the factory again. I think the Camaro has a small subset that would love the option to exist but if they were required to pay $2000 to get it I think they would either pay the $800 for a sunroof, get a vert, or go with a coupe instead.

I don't think the investment would be worth the money for GM. To make it worth it on a cost level they would have to make them standard and that would unnecessarily increase the base price of the car. To those who want them I wish you luck for the 6th gen, but I feel you have no hope other than the aftermarket.

this.

And that's why, unfortunately, my 4th gen will always be a better cruiser than any newer coupe car produced. :( I enjoy driving my 5th gen as a daily driver, but if I want to cruise to enjoy nice weather, it's immediately time to drive the 4th gen so I can pop the t-tops off and actually cruise. With the 5th gen it is just... not cruising, it's driving a regular car. The tiny porthole windows just ruin the idea of "cruising" and enjoying the summer weather. Obviously a convertible would change that.

How much would you be willing to pay for that option?
If you want them that bad, there are companies that will do them.

Mr Wyndham stated it best as to why they are not a factory option.
I also believe you will never see them again.
First reason is cost, but then also they were a "fad" option to begin with and that fad has passed.
As someone stated, it was a 70's and 80's fad.

The ONLY reason you see any 5th Gen Camaro's now with them is someone trying to recapture that fad.
Same as they are trying to do with the converting a Camaro into a Trans-Am.
How many of those cars do you think they actually sell?
They are priced close to the $100K range.

The market for those cars is so incredibly small, there is no way the factory would ever go down that road.
If an auto manufacturer can't sell tens of thousands of a product, they probably won't be produced.
Simple economics.

So they don't. My personal preference is a good, solid, coupe. No sunroof...no convertible...no t-tops. But there are those who do want t-tops...unfortunately, the likelihood of ever seeing t-tops again is 0. :(

i doubt it , even though they were still popular on the 4th gens. i liked them, but it was a bit of a hassle putting them back in every time i stopped somewhere. plus they got super hot to pick up in the sun.

I have a gen 4 with t-tops and a gen 5 w/ sunroof. Sunroof > t-tops imho

But then again I hardly remove mine and they are much more a pita than the sunroof. + it is nice being able to block out all of the light with the slider if I want.

So much more convenient and less of a hassle overall imho.

Either way if they offer the t-top option again, I hope that they at least keep the sunroof option then.

I absolutely loved my t-tops on my '85 Z28.Since there wasn't a t-top option for the 5th gen., I went convertible route.I , like many other 2011 convertible owners have experienced problems with the convertible tops. If the t-tops were to come back, I would definitely think about trading in for it.But like others have stated, highly unlikely given todays safety requirements and costs associated to engineer what is required today.Unfortunately it comes down to return on the $$$$ and in my opinion won't happen.

Really wish I would have bought a convertible. Trying to "cruise" in the summer with a hard top is silly.
