i will do stock for awhile but then i will get the hurst with the cue ball shifter, i personally do not like the pistol grip or t-handle, drove a t-handle and it was kinda weird to grip, never drove with a pistol grip but dont like the design. i would rather have a ball to get good grip and feel on

I would like a short throw, but I don't think the Hurst that comes from the factory is going to be the best option...Once the car is out B&M should have one, and Hurst will probably even come out with something that is better in 6 moinths or so.

the Tr6060 is used in alot of cars so waiting six months isnt going to make the Hurst short throw anybetter. tr6060 is in the viper, corvette, G8 gxp, Gt500 and Gt500kr, just to name a few. the performance shifter companies have already gotten a chance to work with the transmission and know what works by now. B&M probably already has a kit for it even.

If I like the feel of the stock stick I won't change it. I'd only change the stick if I didn't like the feel.

I had a Hurst STS in my Cobalt SS/SC and loved it. I like the weighted feel and as much as the ball sucked in the dead of winter and summer, it was still pretty nice.

I think the Hurst with the white ball shifter will look out of place on a new car. But that's just me.

I'd rather have the improved shift action of a short shifter while maintaining the stock look.

I liked the SLP Hurst Shift knob for the 4th Gens, It was a stock looking leather Knob, with a Hurst H imprinted in it. That would be great!

I think that looks terrible. The stock look is great. The shift action on the GTO sucks. I bought a GMM ripshifter with the stock look just better action.

The GTO has a sleek interior and adding something silly like that really clashes with the look and vibe of the rest of the interior.

I'm just curious if the Hurst available from the dealer will be the the only one made or if there will be 2 different ones like w/the 4th gen. The Hurst that came with the 4th gen SS cars didnt have adjustable stops but there was another that did. I actually liked the feel of the Hurst knob (the one with the big H on it and covered in leather) on my Pro 5.0 w/a short stick. Loved that setup!

I thought of doing this in my 4th gen, but never got to it, and lacked the know how. I would be interested in how this comes out.

I said in another thread...REPLACE THE STOCK SHIFTER!!! If it is anything like the 4th gen...it is terrible, like rowing a boat. I tried the GMPP one and it didn't fit in the car. It broke the console. Then I switched it to the SLP version with an 8-ball knob. The pool ball was perfect in my hand, in fact I still have it; threaded and all. Personally I would want a brushed stick with the 8 ball.
