If you are a good respectful daughter and your dad has trust and faith in you....HECK YES! I let my Senior take my Camaro on occassion. Why...he is my son and I love him. He will look back in life as an adult and remember the special childhood memories. We only live ONCE and creating great memories is a must. My Camaro is my cherished possession but my Son out shines it any day of the year. I am taking him to CamaroFest. I hope to get him driving on the track. Tell your dad I 100% believe that he should let you. Of course, with ground rules.

I remeber what I did in high school as opposed to what I said I would do so NO would be my answer also. Even with all the trust in the world- still no.

My wife won't even drive my Camaro, not because I wouldn't let her (I have and will any time she wants), but because she knows how well I treat the car and how much it would bother me if something happened to it.

The real question is, are you responsible and paranoid enough to handle the responsibility? Your dad seems like a very level headed guy from the few times I've met him. I think if you know not to park next to minivans, and away from everyone if possible, and agree to finance any damage that comes to the car during the night, that it shouldn't be a problem. You have to make sure you have the funds available, and have some way to prove that whoever is driving isn't drinking and is a responsible driver.

Does he treasure his car like a true enthusiast, or is it just a nice car that he likes more than normal? If he treasures it, than it might be too much of a hassle for you to want to take the car honestly. Think about it this way.

Would you or your boyfriend:
Park away from the entrance and walk the extra distance to not park next to anyone that could open their doors into the camaros?
Not tailgate cars, and trucks especially to avoid rock chips?
Not try to showboat in front of people and just drive it like a normal car, lessening the chance of stupid mistakes while driving?
Not drink a drop of alcohol just in case a police officer pulls you over because he wants to look at the car/check to see if it's stolen (east bay assumption, forgive me)?
etc.

That's my 2 pennies.

My dad let me drive his cars. He loves his Camaro with his heart but he wants to teach me how to handle an older car. See if your dad will let you drive it before hand with him in the car. He needs to see if you can see out of blindspots, and know how to drive carefully.
Just don't let your boyfriend drive it, and isn't it a little late for homecoming?

No! And you will only truly understand this when you are older and wiser.

I understand that, but an adult should realize that is not right... What if it was his daughter... Jmo...
