Don't You Just Hate...
Was looking online at a dealer's website and he is showing a 2013 ZL1 Vert, IOM, no price, call for details.
So I do, and ask the price. Guy states they don't give #'s on the phone. I ask, okay, is it still for sale, is it there on the lot, are you looking at it now?..... Here we go...............salesman "yeah, we have one on order, per our allocation, may not be orange, that is just a picture, yeahhhhhhh, but you are welcome to come in and talk.............."

it's that way with all business. they want to get you in the door.
there's one dealer here, 3 months after the Camaro came out they advertised 9 on the lot. i go over...they have 1 in the showroom already sold. next week..advertising 7. |

With the VIN, you can find out quite a bit without even going to the dealer.

I bought mine sight unseen over the phone--175 miles away--and discounted below invoice. Took 15 minutes, max--and the deal was confirmed and held with $200 deposit via credit card. Two days later, drove to dealership (Reliable Cheverolet, Richardson, Texas) and signed papers. Everything remained as discussed on the phone. Extraordinary? Maybe--but they took a lot of pride in their work!
