Don't see any grilles for the openings. A bird could make a nest in there. And it appears there's no water diversion control...

Looks like there is more options that need buying to make this work.

There's a little video of the insert on their Facebook page.

I think for the $2500 in savings you could find a way to make these adjustments. For example, you can buy black mesh for the holes for less than $10 and the water drain can either be fabricated, purchased form ACS, or bought from GM.

As for birds getting in...that is possible with or without the holes. Birds are crafty buggers.

There are four plastic bulb press in fittings, two forward and two aft that are missing compared to stock ZL1 insert.

Can you post pics of what you're talking about? Are these essential to fitment? My plan was to purchase some very thin rubber grommets to go around the screw posts for installation.

It looks good.

...but will it last.... see a ton of cars with aftermarket carbon fiber parts. The finish fails on many of them. Time will tell if these parts will last.

I contacted the company to ask what type of clear coat they use. They told me they used automotive clear. Hopefully it will hold up. Even if it doesn't, I could easily have the piece painted.
