Tire suggestions?

I bought a set of niche nurburg wheels for my car back in February and the rear wheels are 20x10 and I kept the same tires. I wanted to know if anyone knew a good replacement tire with good performance that is a little wider. I also wanted to know if anyone has an idea of how wide I could, or need to go with a set of 20x10's on the rear. Any good advice. New to this forum, want to see if it does me any good. Thanks

Is this forum absolutely dead???

I have been on this site for a couple of days, and I've had one reply and it was generic in reference to tire width allowed by an ss with 19 inch wheels. I want to know if I'm doing something wrong, or is this forum truly dead? I don't get it, because some of the best information I've gotten off of the internet has been information that originated from some of these posts.

305/30/19s are the max you can fit in the front of an SS.

Tires of the same size from different companies are not the same. They are close, but not the same. When you are looking to fit a different size tire to a wheel go to the MFG site and find the specifications and the Rim Width Range. Here is an example.

http://www.michelinman.com/tire-sele...ires#techspecs

Never, ever mount a tire on a rim that exceeds the tire MFG's stated Min or Max Rim Width.

It has been rather slow on here lately. I heard from some of my C5 friends that the site was down for them part of the day today. It ran slow sometimes for me & I was busy much of the day So I'm not sure. Hopefully folks are just having a fun start to the weekend.

Dead? No; but it's been unsettling-ly quiet lately. Our regional forum used to have several posts a day, now it's more like several days between posts. It's currently Friday night, and there's only 250 members on all of C5. I'm at a loss for an explanation, but I have noticed that things never really got back to normal after all the crashes a month or two ago. Maybe when people couldn't log in, they went outside into the sunshine (assuming they live somewhere besides here), realized what they had been missing, and never came back. Dunno, but there definitely is a lot less people around here lately. And that makes it a lot less fun.
