HMMMMMM. Something has me thinking here.

If you got this car 2 months ago, and paid cash, why didn't you just get a new 1? There are black 2lt's all over the place......

hmmm, I think silver could look good. I have black and LOVE it. But if I was in you situation, rather than messing around with the factory paint job I'd change up the stripes or something.

why don't you do a two tone paint job?
Either option holds great possibilities for unique customization and individuality for a LOT LESS than repainting the whole car.

Don't maaco your camaro. They're not very good. Maacoing is for your beater car, not your amazing camaro. You're probably looking closer to $6000 for a decent whole car paint job. Like D-Bomb said you probably just should've ordered the one you wanted because you're gonna pay the same price.

The most practical solution is to Sell/trade your car & get the one you want. Another option could be to Vinyl wrap your car black as suggested in a previous post. Easily reversible & protects your paint. Cheaper than paint, but finding someone to do it right can be difficult. Good luck buddy.

I don't know what you paid for it....but evan at that, to get a COMPLETE QUALITY paint job....with what you paid for a slightly used LT and the cost of the paint job, you could have ordered a BLACK 2SS!

I don't know anything about paint, so I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. I don't want to rush into anything. Thanks in advance.
Don't do it!!!!

'Nuff said about Maaco and all of it correct.

You have a silver car. That's a good base to start with. Instead of repainting the entire car, just paint the hood, roof and rear deck black. There are other things you can do to introduce your favorite color without repainting the car. Lot's of silver cars. Lot's of black cars. Mix them together some way and have a unique car. A good custom paint shop will help you with ideas if you need them.

Don't repaint the car. It just isn't wise to do so.

Update: 03/13/2010
Do this to introduce black vs. painting the car black

Take off the existing stripes, lay down some black stripes (w.e style you like) And do the black out in the front and back. WOuld look KILLER.
If not, then you could trade in for another Camaro.
