CA has a Castle Law btw...You just have to make sure the thief(s) pose an imminent threat (Serious injury or death) to your safety...

With regards to all that 9mm lead... I hope everyone keeps in mind their local laws. CA, for one, doesn't allow you to shoot to defend your property, sorry. I'm sure you were kidding anyway, but it's still something people joke about fairly often that most of us gun owners still need to be reminded of sometimes.

Keep your car safe but yourself safer! Can't enjoy anything if you end up in jail

PS - I suppose your 9mm will do in a pinch but I'd rather trust my life to something a bit bigger like .40S&W or .45ACP

Check the review on the web site, someone said they had it wired in to the factory system on his 2010 camaro.

I think if they were IN your garage in CA, you could make the case they were an "imminent threat". Probably not if it's parked outside.

Curious. Is there a small portable hard drive that records 24-48 hour surveillance with a mini cam that could be installed in a hidden place. It sure would be nice to catch the F--k--‘s <---(fill in the blanks) who do these type of crime to any vehicle.

I am real sorry to hear this, what a damn shame..people sometimes suck. Your insurance should cover most of the loss (file a police report).
When you replace them...buy wheel locks (or get a gararge). Goodluck.

Sorry for your loss. I assume you have full coverage insurance. What is your comprehensive deductible? I hope you are paying for the lowest comprehensive deductible possible. Even if you were to find the wheels for sale on Craigs list, eBay, etc., how could you identify them?

That sucks! Unfortunately, trying to find out who did it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack because there are a lot of those wheels for sale.

Yes there is but they cost a good bit of money. A simple inside cam costs about $400 and one like you're talking about can easily run thousands depending on the number of inputs and cameras. Please note that is for systems that are hidden on the car itself.

For systems that you mount in your driveway or outside you can get for just a few hundred but the cameras are not good quality. A good quality camera will cost a couple hundred while the best one's will set you back $500+ apiece.
