Okay NASCAR, the cars are right, the car is back in the hands of the drivers. Don't eff this up and change it back to the snoozes you have force us to watch these past few years!! JMHO

I think it's all a matter of perspective;
Fans of #18 will say the Hendrick boys tried to wreck him.... Fans of the #24 will say Busch deserved to get spun.... etc.,..... It's what makes NASCAR so popular. I was and still am a huge fan of, in my mind, the greatest NASCAR driver of all time, Dale Earnhardt Sr., so if I watch today, I'm only interested in a good race. So that being said, I hope NASCAR: (1)... doesn't react too drastically and break up "pack racing"; (if they want to continue to say they're the best drivers in the world, and get payed $$$, they should be able to drive in packs IMO.) (2)... take it a little easy on plastering Danica all over the screen. She has talent, but drivers who have accomplished ALOT more than she has don't get the face time, coverage, etc., she has. Let's see how she does first....please. (3)... replaces DW in the booth (I know that's FOX's decision) |

Last thing I want to hear or read is Nascar tweaking the car. I was there last year for the 2 by 2, worst race I have ever sat through, actually left the track during the green white checkered. Year before that, the track fell apart and by the the time the checker came out we could see our breaths. First year I went was rain shortened because Nascar thought running a race in the late afternoon/early evening would draw ratings.
This is my fourth time going, I just want to watch a 500 mile pack race that I remember getting excited over during the 90s. |
