What Mode Traction Control are people using Drag Racing?
I have a 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS with the Auto L-99 & when I drag race down the local track with my stock Pirelli's I've tried messing with the Traction control button a few times in different modes & Found that when I hold down the Button For 10 seconds it turns off everything & I seems to spin the tires more coming out of the Hole. I seem to get the best E.T when I have it in Competitive Mode. Not sure which Mode to keep trying it in to get the Best E.T. Has anyone Else had this same thing happen to them? & what Mode do Most People Use???

I always go down the track with all nannies off. When I had stock Pirelli or Nitto 555Rs I had to learn how to roll on the throttle slowly. Kinda get a feeling for the tires breaking loose point

no nannies at all. It will take a little more practice to master the launch, but will net you the best return when you get it down.

Thanks for the Feed Back everyone. But yea I Got Modern Muscle 3 Shootout Coming up in October at Bradenton Motorpark Speedway & I want to be ready To Get some quicker E.T's. I'm trying to get some 18" Rear Rims & MT Et Street Radials so I can Improve my E.T's. So far My Best was 12.76 Seconds at 111 M.P.H. But that was on Stock tires & Rims on a 90f South Florida day so I'm hoping for a cooler day On race day in October

yup no nannies. I do my burnout in drive so it will short shift. Then pull it back to sport for the pass. On a stock converter, stabbing (flashing converter) it off idle was the best 60ft I got out of my car. My ProTorque liked to be stalled up to about 1100. The current converter and best one by far, my CircleD, likes to be flashed from idle.

So, "no nannies", "no nannies at all" and "yup no nannies" is achieved when the TC button is held down for 10 seconds right? I can turn off traction control by pushing the button once, I can turn off TC and Stabili-track by pushing the button twice which puts it into Competitive mode but still retains some amount of anti-wheel spin control, and I can hold it down to disable all three, right?

Correct.
Only traction control I use is the gas pedal and clutch. Takes some practice but to me why have a computer race for you? |
