1970 Camaro RS

i felt like showing my Camaro off a little. we bought this car almost 2 years ago. like the title says, its a '70 RS. started off orange with some cheap fenders and everything underhood and under the car painted an ugly silver color. My dad and I have done a frame off resto. pulled engine, tranny, then took out the sub frame and fixed it up a little and painted it. tweaked the motor a little. has a 350 with a Comp cam, Comp roller rockers, headers, and a Holley 600 cfm carb. TH350 trans with a 3.73 Auburn posi. Painted Victory Red, black rally stripes. blacked out tail panel. cowl hood. got the Z/28 wheels for it and i didnt want them that dark grey color. i thought they would look better black and i think i was right. new gauges, repainted dash pieces, fixed up the center console, put the correct door panels on because they were wrong when we bought it. cleaned out the junk in the trunk and resprayed it and cleaned up the spare jack and stuff. we have spent a ton of time on this car. im only 17 and consider myself very lucky to have this car. so here it is with some random build pics. sorry they are so big

That is a very nice car. You and your dad did a great job!!. If you don't mind, if your first pic of the engine bay is the way it stands, I would take those exposed wires on the driver's side and feed them behind the driver's side fender and run them up towards the front of the car. There is sufficient room to do that and hide that wire from exposure and it gives it a cleaner looking engine bay.

But,,,,,great job! beautiful!

we are still working on getting the wiring figured out. its almost "done." the interior is gonna get done in the winter. still needs a new exhaust system, the dash only needs a few more things to be done. all my friends cant wait to see it and they are all asking if im driving it to school. a big NO haha. We have plans for a nasty big block after im out of college and have the money to pay for it. i have more pics if theres anything anyone wants to see. thanks for the comments

Nice car man! I'm 17 also and as for driving it to school I can see why you wouldn't, but let me say it sure makes everyone in the parking lot look at you when you go start your car! haha, I have a '74 I drive everyday to school except when it snows. I really like the earlier '70s look like yours but couldn't find any around me with a 4 speed that wasn't a total rust bucket. Again awesome car!

you're a very lucky 17 year old to have that car. Just use your head when you are behind the wheel and you'll get a lifetime of fun out of it
